Weekend Group Prenatal Course
2 Days - $250
The cost of Belly to Baby's group intensive weekend prenatal course is $250 for both you and your birth partner to attend.

Saturday

- Introductions
- My objective approach
- Emotional and mental aspects of labor
- Video: "Birth Day" inspirational birth video
- Focusing on the normalcy of birth
- Events of late pregnancy and labour (time sequence)
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Video: "Relaxation, Rhythm, Ritual: the 3 R's of Childbirth"
- Labor: coping, comfort and breathing skills
- Supporting a woman in labor
- Rehearsing and practising positions
Sunday
9:30 am – 12:30 pm
- Variations and possible complications
- Interventions with the goal of healthy baby / healthy mom
- Role of various hospital staff
- Birthing intentions
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Postpartum adjustment and recovery: "sleep when the
baby sleeps"
- Strategies to survive the postpartum period
- Breastfeeding – getting off to a great start
- Newborn care
- Dunstan Baby Language (as seen on Oprah)
- Opportunity to ask questions, give feedback, etc.
5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Baby Reunion
Once we finish our formal class on Sunday afternoon, a previous
group will start arriving with their babies for their reunion.
You are invited to stay for 15-20 minutes to meet the new parents
and babies, listen to their stories, and benefit from some
of their tips and experiences.
Your Reunion
Your reunion will occur when most of the babies are 6 – 8
weeks old.
Professional photographer Maria Peterson
(www.frozenreflections.com) will be on hand to take a class
photo and family photos. Maria's pictures will be for sale, but please feel free to
bring your own cameras as it is a great opportunity to capture
some precious moments.

Refresher Course
3 Hours - $80
A refresher course is available for couples having their second,
third or fourth baby. You would join our Weekend Prenatal Course afternoon session
on Saturday only from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

Private Prenatal Class
4 Hours - $320 + $0.45/km
Due to the demand for prenatal education Belly to Baby is also now offering a private 4 hour session. This session is the "Coles Notes" for labour and delivery. This private session will be taught in the comfort of your own home and is best suited for people with time constraints, yet who want to be prepared for giving birth.

Private Prenatal + Newborn Class
6 Hours - $480 + $0.45/km
Belly to Baby also offers a private 6 hour prenatal, breastfeeding and newborn care session, including the Dunstan Baby Language (as seen on Oprah). The session will be taught in the comfort of your own home and is best suited for people with time constraints, yet who want to be prepared for giving birth and for caring for their newborn.

Private Post-Childbirth Debriefing / Dunstan Baby Language
2 Hours - $210 + $0.45/km
So much emphasis is placed on the moments leading up to childbirth that we sometimes do not give enough consideration to how women will feel in its aftermath. Many will have questions and observations about their experience. Some will feel the urge to express the myriad of emotions they felt (and often still feel) after childbirth. I offer the opportunity to sit down with a caring medical professional and discuss every step of your birth experience in the comfort of your own home.
As a Registered Nurse, I have great assessment skills and will refer women onto the necessary medical professionals if I think they need to work further on coming to terms with their birth experience.
During this 2 hour session, we will watch the Dunstan Baby Language DVD and apply it to the sounds we hear the baby make. As a mother, I have found the Dunstan system to be invaluable in identifying the meaning behind my baby's cries.
This two hour session includes your own copy of the Dunstan Baby Language DVD (a $49.99 value).
